Halfway Point: Pause & Think

As we approach the halfway point for 2025, it’s time to pause, reflect, and take stock. With half the year behind you, you still have half the year in front of you!

Live Life on Purpose

“Most of us live our lives by accident—we live it as it happens. Fulfillment comes when we live our lives on purpose.” -Simon Sinek

So many days go by working on to-do lists that we often may not have the time and energy to reflect on where we are, how we are moving forward, and in which direction. Today, I encourage you to take the time to pause and reflect.

It’s not too late to figure out what’s next so you can take the steps needed to get there.

A Quick Halfway Point Activity

“Take the pressure off and write down a few plans in pencil … make room to dream while also creating space for change.” -Morgan Harper Nichols

Below is a list of areas in our lives. On a blank piece of paper, write down each category and as you do, write the first goal that comes to mind. Something you would like to accomplish in that category before the end of this year.

  1. Health
  2. Relationships
  3. Business/Career
  4. Finances
  5. Personal Growth
  6. Relaxation & Fun
  7. Passion Project

No doubt these are all significant to you, so this next step may feel challenging. But without stressing you out or making this feel too heavy, quickly circle the three that resonate and speak to you as the most important.

Visual Reminders

Write these three on a sticky note to attach to your computer or bathroom mirror, tape to your dashboard, or possibly make a wallpaper for your cell phone … or do all of these so you are continually reminded about what you want to accomplish.

These visual reminders help your mind stay focused. Because the laundry still needs to be done, the food shopping still needs to happen, the work still needs to be completed, the emails still need to be sent, projects still need to be worked on, and we all have our to-do lists. Unless we keep these three goals top of mind, it’ll be the end of the year, and we’ll be wishing we had spent more time giving them the priority they needed.

I wish you a happy half new year and may all your goals be achieved!
